About Our Home Care in Amsterdam, NY

Ramon & Maria Rodriquez, the owners of Home Helpers & Direct Link of Amsterdam and KAMA Real Properties LLC, also proud parents or two sons Amauris and Alex. Ramon & Maria are both from the Dominican Republic and have been married for 34 years, prior to opening Home Helpers & Direct Link. Ramon serve 20 years in the U.S. Army followed by 11 years with RCIL a local organization serving people with disabilities in the Amsterdam, area. Maria spent much of her career as military spouse working retail jobs followed by 8 years with RCIL as a coordinator for in-home care. After living and working in the local care Industry, they began to see now many families in community could appreciate a helpful hand.

They opened Home Helpers & Direct Link of Amsterdam in May, 2014, providing in-home care and companionship to seniors, new and expectant mothers, working parents and individuals requiring recuperative or continuing care. Between the two of them they have a wealth of cultural, patient care, customer service, personal care coordination, administration, and interpersonal experience. They believe in caring for their clients and employees as if they were members of their own family. They are currently serving approximately 150 clients with approximately 20 employees. Not only are they passionate about serving clients. they have also served in several nonprofit boards and committees in our community.
