Are You Licensed?
Yes! We are licensed by the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare (#HH-261) and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care to provide skilled medical care (nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, etc.) along with our non-medical, personal caregiving services. As a licensed agency, we adhere to strict guidelines regarding information disclosure, background checks, the training and supervision of caregivers, plan of care documentation and service standards, among other regulations.
I’ve Never Had a Caregiver. How Does It Work?
The caregivers are there so that you can remain independent in your home. We will develop a “care plan” together. The caregivers will carry out the plan. Will they be preparing meals, taking you to appointments, doing light housework or simply providing companionship? It’s up to you and it can change whenever you want it to!
What Happens If I Don’t Like the Caregiver?
Although we strive for a perfect fit every time, there are situations where the client/caregiver relationship fails to develop as expected. Please let us know if you have any concerns about the caregivers we’ve assigned to you.
Am I Required to Commit to a Minimum Number of Hours Per Day or Per Week?
We offer shifts anywhere from 2 hours to 24/7. You can have a caregiver 30 hours this week and 10 hours next week. It’s all up to you. We are very flexible. Of course, to retain the same caregiver, it is always better to have a regular schedule.
Will I Have the Same Caregiver Each Time?
she will not be called to cover other shifts making her unavailable to work with you. However, it’s important to remember that our caregivers are people, not robots. They have their own lives and responsibilities and it’s entirely possible that they will get sick or have a sick child and will not be able to make their shift. We try to put together a team of caregivers who are familiar with you and your situation so that when a caregiver does have to call off, we can send a capable replacement.
Are Your Services Available in Retirement Communities, Nursing Homes, and Assisted Living Facilities?
Absolutely! We provide care anywhere it is needed.
Will the Caregivers Eat My Food?
Not unless you invite them to. Mostly our caregivers bring their own snacks and meals.
Do You Have Live-In Caregivers?
Yes, in addition to our come-and-go caregivers, we have caregivers that can live in your home 24 hours a day.
Who Pays the Caregivers?
We do. The caregivers are our employees and we are solely responsible for paying for their services. We pay all payroll taxes, unemployment insurance, liability insurance, and Workers Compensation insurance. We absorb all of the liability so you don’t have to worry.
Does Insurance Cover Home Care?
For our caregiving services, clients typically pay with electronic payments or credit cards although there are a number of third-party payers that cover the cost of home care including Medicaid, the Veterans Administration, Area Agencies on Aging, and long-term care insurance. Medicare and traditional health insurance may cover the cost of skilled home health care. We can help you explore your options and coordinate a plan that fits your situation.
How Often Do You Bill Me?
We invoice our clients twice a month, from the 1st to the 15th and the 16th to the end of the month. You can pay by automatic account withdrawal or by credit card. If you have a third-party payer, like long-term care insurance, we can submit claims on your behalf.
Does It Cost Anything to Set Up an Introductory Meeting With You?
No! There is never a charge to have us come out and meet you. It is important for you to meet us face-to-face in order to feel confident in our ability to provide care for you or your loved one.
