We started with Home Helpers Home Care of Mission Valley after being recommended by a neighbor. In the beginning, we did have some issues with a caregiver not doing everything we expected, and I wasn’t fully happy at first. What I appreciated though was that the owner Quyen actually checked in with us and listened when I explained the concerns. Not long after, they switched us to an older caregiver who has been much more responsible, attentive, and caring with my mom. Overall I would recommend them, but I’d also say to be clear about what’s important to you and communicate your expectations. I liked that the owner took the concerns seriously and made the effort to fix the situation instead of ignoring it.

Short Notice Staffing Home Helpers Home Care of Mission Valley was very responsive and quickly arranged caregivers for us on short notice. We already had a personal caregiver for my parents, but needed additional support due to a hospital visit. Their communication was excellent, and they worked quickly to provide multiple caregivers who could cover all of our needs. We were very satisfied with their professionalism, responsiveness, and ability to help during a stressful time.

I was happy with my initial talk with the owner, and upon telling him of our grandfather having served in the military before he past, he was able to offer us a slight discount for being a VA household. The coordination between different caregivers made things smoother for our grandmother and helped maintain consistency in her care. Communication was good and it gave our family more peace of mind knowing coverage and scheduling were being managed well. Even though we ultimately had a family member step in to help, the employee was very helpful and took the time to explain different care options, ways families may be able to help cover the cost of care, and resources available in the community including medicare guide. It can be overwhelming trying to navigate senior care, and we appreciated the guidance and information provided during the process.

Helpful and responsive care team We found Home Helpers Home Care through A Place for Mom while looking for some extra support at home for my father, who has balance issues and lives alone. The agency was easy to communicate with from the beginning and took the time to understand what type of caregiver would be the best fit for him. We appreciated that they listened to his prefernce for a female caregiver and worked to accommodate that. The caregiver been helping with meal preparation, housekeeping, and making sure he is safe around the house. It has given our family more peace of mind knowing someone reliable is checking in and helping him stay safe at home.

Where do I start. I placed a phone call after hours in noticing this company with ratings which seemed very genuine in the reviews given. Our family was in need of services with in Home help for our Step Father. He has dementia. I left a message after hours with their answering service. To my amazement I recvd a return call back from Jennifer at Home Helpers. Jennifer coordinates care as a team with the Owner Debbie and is with you from start to finish. I knew immediately the company was a good fit. The office is available- answers the phone- returns calls- walks you thru in educating you of the process- provides solutions - seeks information- does their very best to provide the experienced fit for your loved one. Home Helpers company Owner Debbie went to the rehab facility to meet with my mom (she broke her femur) to see if indeed this could work together as a team for care. My aunt is 88 yrs young, had been diagnosed with dementia several years ago. There were a few adjustments she had to deal with once the diagnosis was made by her doctor, like having someone to drive her wherever she needed (after having her driver’s license revoked) but, she was still a very independent person, very engaging and she enjoyed her life. A few days after being discharged home from the hospital after having surgery for a bowel obstruction things took a rapid downturn. Although physically, she was recuperating just fine, her mentation took a nose dive. She needed constant supervision, to ensure she did things like grooming and dressing herself, reminding her to do things, simple things. This proved to be such a dramatic change and burdensome for just one person to do. As well as dishearten, caring for a loved one who was once very vibrant, to suddenly needing constant supervision, like that of a child. Home Helpers Home care was there to give assistance. Their (caregivers) proved to be trained and very professional handling the situation. They helped with my aunts’ care, her hygienic needs, ensured her medication regimen was adhered to. Importantly, the caregivers helped to engage her, stimulated her mentally, played children’s video games involving recognition of shapes and colors, numbers and words. It seemed to relieve some of the anxiety my aunt was displaying in other ways. They made us feel (family) feel comfortable and confident in their skills. We really made the right choice by choosing them to assist us in caring for my aunt. I would recommend them highly to anyone in this situation.

This agency ( Home Helpers of Fremont/Union City CA) strive for quality and excellent services when it comes to caring to sick and elderly people. I appreciated that the owner would cover if no available caregivers for the services of the client. Office staffs are accomodating and nice . I have had Home helpers home care for my Father for the past 2 years plus, & I have been thoroughly happy with the professionalism each one of my dad’s caregivers has shown . My father’s caregiver Doy is such a wonderful man. He really cares so much for my dad’s well being & happiness. He arrives on time ready for his shift & every thing I have asked of him he accomplishes without ever complaining. He’s such a kind person. My dad truly is cared for whenever I cannot be with him & I never worry as long as I know Doy is with him. If ever a substitute is needed which happens very rarely the owner always finds someone great to help out so Doy can have some time off.
