I have been a client for about 1.5 years, and have found the Home Helpers staff to be kind, professional, and cheerful. They work hard to put my needs first. As an example, my caregiver was ill for a couple of weeks, but still made sure I had everything I needed. They are flexible in scheduling. I don’t drive but my caregiver cheerfully takes me to appointments, the grocery, and even to parks for walking. I am very happy with their services.

Near the end of the time my Dad had pancreatic cancer, we brought him home from a rehab facility to start on Hospice at home. Home Helpers had a wonderful caregiver named Cheryl meet us at the house when Dad arrived with transport service. They were with me every step of the way, trying to help keep Dad as comfortable as possible, while managing the overall situation. When someone is home on Hospice, a lot of laundry is generated, which is one of the many things Home Helpers helps with!

I don’t believe we would have gotten through this without the invaluable help Home Helpers Home Care provided. They made the documents easy to sign, were interested in feedback about their service, and truly seemed to care for my Dad and our family. We needed immediate but temporary home care due to mobility difficulties. My husband has mobility issues but I have been helping him and doing meal prep, laundry, bills and related. Suddenly and with no warning my mobility was challenged. We were able to get in-home help in 1 day. The care givers were fantastic! Both offered us caring attitudes, great conversation when we wanted socializing, creative thinking and excellent carrying out of their activities. Both Shanteye and Karen offered competent services for us including meal prep, laundry and such simple things as getting the mail from the mailbox and emptying waste baskets. Because we may need their services in the future I discovered that they also are trained to do bed baths, help with dressing and similar physical health-related activities but they don’t give medications or do other “professional” health care. My husband and I highly recommend Home Helpers.

This organization has been excellent to work with. Right from the start Aaron has gone above and beyond to make sure everything was as painless as possible. Aaron met with us on short notice and was able to meet difficult deadlines. When problems arose, I found that before speaking to us, he had often called around looking for solutions before contacting us. All of our calls and emails have been promptly returned.
Caring for my father presents some special challenges, yet his caregiver Cat seems to be the perfect fit. My father sings her praises almost every time we talk. He is excited for her arrival each morning and enjoys telling me about their adventures together. She is dependable, caring and very, very hard working. My father is very grateful for her help.

We had used two other home care companies for another family member in the past. This difference between Aaron and those companies is night and day.

We cannot overstate how great it has been to work with Aaron, Bojana and their team. The compassion and support they provided to our parents was above and beyond our highest expectations. Aaron and Bojana are great to work with. They spend time to get to know the client and family, as well as to understand the needs. They ensure that communication is key and that the proper caregiver is matched to the client. Though not a perfect process, there follow up is fantastic to adjust as needed.

I have also worked with him on other ways to help the community such as a community coat drive. Beth was my father Gary’s caregiver and she became like family to us. She was so dedicated and caring to him and so supportive to my mother who was his primary caregiver. We can’t thank her enough for everything she did for our family.

I needed some assistance with my mom while I was going to be away. I researched and found Home Helpers home care. The owner Tala Oweis Carmi and I spoke on the phone and right away set up a meeting. She visited my mom and was so understanding and so pleasant and accommodating that we set up a plan right then. Tala and the caregiver came to my house to meet my mom the next day, which really was what my mom needed to be happy with the idea of another person caring for her other than me. I found Home Helpers Home Care of Larimer County through a search on the web. I read through the website and decided they might be able to help my family. I gave Kate a call and we talked about their services and what my family needed. She patiently answered all of my questions with honesty, compassion and genuine caring. It is hard to put into words how highly we think of Ursella Slusher and her team of caregivers. We found her Home Helpers website online when searching for in home care for our mother-in-law who was 86 years old and suffering from various medical ailments and dementia.. No matter what she needed or when, someone was there for her, giving us peace of mind as we lived out of state. Helping with medications, housekeeping, meal prep and dealing with her oftentimes difficult demeanor, it was all done with a smile and “can do” attitude. Ursella even visited our mother in the hospital and was often at her bedside right up until she passed away. The most helpful part about the service is the lady that they sent me, she’s excellent. She assists her in any way she needs help. I like that they gave me a lot of options.

The caregivers are reliable and compassionate. They do light housework and prepare meals. She provides compassionate care while understanding and following the family’s recommendations for her care plan.

First, I think my caregiver, Jenn, is wonderful in every way possible. I recently requested if she could be considered for the special award program where her photo would be displayed. She is fun to talk to, great skills in the kitchen, fixed infinity problem, fixed installation of new printer, helped with installation of recent medical monitor, with a large family very knowledgeable about many things. Their services are life changing. They have a nice mix of people, from young to not so young. As well as inexperienced to experienced. They communicate and adapt to change well. They are very easy to deal with.

It gives us peace of mind while we are out of the house. We know he has helpful companionship and they are there just in case. The agency has been very cooperative to make our experience positive. I would recommend them because the aide that comes out and helps has been very efficient. My caregiver is pleasant, experienced, and knows what she is doing.

My father got sick and got covid so we were admitted to the hospital. He needed more of a facility care as opposed to at home, then passed away. They seemed to work with us regardless of the task. My father developed great friendships with the caregivers. They help with getting my father up and prepared for the day, and ensured he was good to go with his medication and food. They made sure he lived in a clean environment and made his bed every night. I felt like when we needed something or an issue came up we were notified. They offered the right services, they followed the same care my sister and I would do so it was consistent. They were amazing, but they did have some caregivers who had to cancel at the last minute. Sometimes we did have a little late of a notice but it wasn’t really anything serious.

We really like the person they’ve sent to help with my mom. The manager is also very helpful. They clean for my mom, which means I don’t have to. The caregiver cleans and does laundry for my mom. I’ve only talked to them about once, but they were very helpful and nice. Our caregiver is very pleasant and she’s consistent. We know she’ll be here. She really enjoys being with my mom. The caregiver makes us all feel comfortable.

They are very good at calling when they have issues or concerns, and they let me know when our caregiver won’t be there. If they are not a good fit for us, we can always call the office and they’ll find someone more suited to her.

My father got sick and got covid so we were admitted to the hospital. He needed more of a facility care as opposed to at home, then passed away. They seemed to work with us regardless of the task. My father developed great friendships with the caregivers. They help with getting my father up and prepared for the day, and ensured he was good to go with his medication and food. They made sure he lived in a clean environment and made his bed every night. I felt like when we needed something or an issue came up we were notified. They offered the right services, they followed the same care my sister and I would do so it was consistent. They were amazing, but they did have some caregivers who had to cancel at the last minute. Sometimes we did have a little late of a notice but it wasn’t really anything serious.

We really like the person they’ve sent to help with my mom. The manager is also very helpful. They clean for my mom, which means I don’t have to. The caregiver cleans and does laundry for my mom. I’ve only talked to them about once, but they were very helpful and nice. Our caregiver is very pleasant and she’s consistent. We know she’ll be here. She really enjoys being with my mom. The caregiver makes us all feel comfortable.

It gives us peace of mind while we are out of the house. We know he has helpful companionship and they are there just in case. Home Helpers did a very good job helping me look after my husband in his last days. They were very dependable and kind. I don’t know how I would have made it without their help. He passed away on Feb. 8, 2025. He had neuropathy in his feet and legs and had dementia. I’m very grateful for their help and I highly recommend their service. Through a referral from The Villages of Murfreesboro, I hired full time care givers for my mother when she needed more care than her independent living could provide and there was not room in a full care facility at that time. I cannot possibly say enough about the care that Home Helpers has provided. Particularly Gail the nurse and Danielle and Lara who are the primary care givers.

The initial need for care was small – five days a week for 4 hours per day. But my dad’s health changed rapidly and we had to employ 24/7 care on short notice for both mom and dad. Mom has had dementia for 5+ years and dad was suddenly diagnosed with dementia and the onset was rapid and severe. Lara stepped up to cover more shifts and made sure we had a good plan in place to keep them healthy and safe.

When dad was hospitalized for the final time, Danielle made sure mom got to visit him and Lara also showed up on her day off because that’s how much they care. We did not know at the time but Dad would pass later that night. They would not have had that final moment together without their proactive action. I want to share our family’s wonderful experience having the caregiver from Home Helpers to care for my aunt. We used another well know agency before. They were ok but we felt they over promise and under-delivered. They also have a lot of “conditions “and we felt they charge us on everything. After we spoke to Home Helper, the consultant was very straight forward let us know the cost and services right away. They are not the cheapest but IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONEY! The experience was like changing from flying in Spirit airline to flying in a private jet! The caregiver is so nice. She does everything for my aunt. Edward Lin and his people were there to assist my family with caring for my father during a time of need. These folks are great. They went above and beyond by assisting with little odds and ends around the house. The caregiver even vacuumed and did the dishes and straightened the house. They took my father out to a movie and did other activities to get him out and moving. They have my full recommendation.

Camisha cared for my mother-in-law for 3 years. Her gentle, unflappable demeanor always put my mother-in-law at ease, even when she was frightened or in pain. They had a great bond of love and trust. Any family would be lucky to have Camisha’s care; she’s exceptional.

Vernetta Moore cared for my mother-in-law for nearly 3 years. They developed a wonderful bond and a mutual trust (something that’s important for an elderly woman). Vernetta is patient and kind, always in an upbeat mood, and very reliable. The whole family loved her. We miss seeing her!

We reached out to Home Helpers in December 2019 for my then 91 yr old mother-in-law. From initial encounter with Home Helpers staff & subsequent 5 day a week care giving(through June 2024) the HH organization never disappointed. Staff were genuine care givers & treated my mother-in-law like family from day one. They were very dependable & even through the Covid era never once failed to provide the same level of care on a daily basis. It was with a heavy heart that we had to make decision to place my mother-in-law into a full time care facility but the gracious care she received over the five yrs allowed her to stay in her own home much longer than many. Our family would recommend Home Helpers to others without hesitation.

We needed some home health care established when my husband came home from the nursing home, and they were able to start right away and my daughter was impressed with Rob. She has quite a bit of compassion and likes to make her clients happy. She has a good rapport and good qualities for being a caregiver.

The office staff is understanding and show me consideration. They really care. They’re very helpful and they communicate. I just feel like I have known my caregiver for years, she makes me feel very comfortable, and offers to do stuff I need help with without me asking.

I wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how pleased we are with the service of Home Helpers of the Crystal Coast from the beginning of the process to the end. You all made everything so easy and pleasant. Assessments, finding a caregiver, scheduling, paying, getting reimbursed were all done so smoothly that we could focus on family and fun time together and that was the goal for us this summer. Most importantly, our caregiver was a gem and we were very sad to see her go today. We’ve been impressed from Day 1 on meeting with Aaron and Bojana. They are kind, caring and friendly and so helpful to our decision making in regards to homecare for our 103 year old mother. We were assured they would find the perfect caregiver for her and they did, on the second try. They’ve also been good with communicating and flexible with scheduling needs.

The caregiver we have now is Melanie, a warm, caring and patient person that our mom has developed a relationship with. Melanie is thoughtful to our mom, even bringing her treats like donuts. She is also thorough in her care and with keeping the apartment in order.
