That’s why we are so proud to recognize Joy Jones for the incredible difference she is making in the lives of our clients.

Always Ready to Step Up

Joy joined the Home Helpers family this year and quickly made an impact. She has eagerly taken on new clients, stepped in to cover shifts when the need is greatest, and consistently received positive feedback from the clients and families she serves.

That kind of flexibility and dependability is incredibly important in home care. When Joy says yes to a shift, she isn’t simply filling a spot on the schedule—she is making sure someone in our community has the care and support they need.

Providing Care During a Difficult Journey

One client in particular shows just how meaningful Joy’s work can be.

Joy cares for an elderly gentleman who was recently diagnosed with cancer and must attend chemotherapy treatments each week. His elderly wife is unable to safely assist him into the car and get him to these important appointments on her own.

Joy has become a consistent and dependable presence for them, helping him get to his chemotherapy treatments week after week.

For this couple, that consistency means so much more than transportation. It means knowing they have someone they can count on during an incredibly challenging chapter in their lives. It means his wife doesn’t have to face the physical challenge of getting him to his appointments alone. And it means he can focus on his treatment knowing Joy will be there to help.

This Is Why Caregiving Matters

It can be easy to underestimate the impact of simply showing up. But for our clients, having a compassionate and dependable caregiver can make all the difference.

Joy demonstrates that every day. Whether she is meeting a new client, picking up a shift when we urgently need help, or providing consistent care to someone going through cancer treatment, she brings reliability, compassion, and a willingness to serve.
