Daniel Sandoval

Our Finance & HR Manager

I’ve been working in the home care industry for over 10 years, focusing on billing, payroll, compliance, and making sure our day-to-day financial operations run smoothly. I take pride in keeping communication clear between our clients and caregivers and ensuring everything is handled accurately and with integrity.

I’ve become someone both families and staff can rely on, especially when it comes to company policies, compliance, and workplace regulations. Making sure we stay aligned with standards and operate the right way is very important to me.

Outside of work, I enjoy watching sports, spending quality time with my family, and hanging out with my dog, Rottifurd.

This year, my goal is to continue strengthening our operational systems, support sustainable growth for the company, and help us serve the elderly community with the highest level of quality care, accountability, and compassion.

VETERANS HOME CARE

We’re excited and honored to continue our journey as a VA-approved provider, serving the incredible Veterans and surviving spouses who have given so much for our country. Supporting those who served isn’t just part of what we do — it’s a mission we deeply believe in. We are proud to provide compassionate, personalized in-home care that allows our heroes to live safely and comfortably where they feel most at peace — at home.

Our dedicated caregivers offer hands-on support with personal care, meaningful companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, and respite services. Stronger Together:

Elevating Senior Care Through Partnership

We had a productive and inspiring marketing meeting with Assisted Living Connections, strengthening our shared commitment to delivering high-quality home care for seniors. Our CEO, Dan, along with our Community Liaisons, Frances and Sarah, were proud to represent our team as we explored new ways to better serve older adults and their families.

Partnerships like this make a powerful difference. When trusted professionals collaborate, families receive the guidance, clarity, and peace of mind they deserve—ensuring their loved ones get the right care, at the right time, right at home. Together, we’re building stronger pathways to support our senior community with compassion and excellence.

Welcoming Every Client Like Family

Sarah had a wonderful meeting with a prospective client, continuing our commitment to treating every individual like family from the very first moment we meet them. We’re always excited to connect with members of the senior community and explore how we can provide the care, support, and peace of mind they deserve.

From the COO’s Desk:

The Cost of Waiting Too Long

After 17 years in home care, I’ve noticed something that happens far too often. Most families don’t call at the first sign of change. They call after the fall. After the ER visit. After the medication mix-up. After exhaustion has already set in. I understand why. No one wants to believe their loved one needs help. It can feel like giving up independence or admitting something has changed.

I remember a daughter who called me late one evening after her father had fallen in the kitchen. Thankfully, he wasn’t seriously injured, but she said something that has stayed with me: “I knew he was slowing down. I just didn’t think it was time yet.” What she really meant was that she wasn’t ready. And that’s human. But within weeks of putting just a few hours of support in place each week, everything shifted. His home was safer. His medications were organized. He had companionship. And she finally slept through the night without worrying her phone would ring.

Here’s what I’ve learned: starting care early often means needing less of it later. A small amount of proactive support can prevent injuries, hospitalizations, and caregiver burnout. It preserves dignity. It protects independence. And it gives families the gift of peace of mind.

Care is not a last resort. It is a strategy.

If you’re beginning to notice subtle changes — even small ones — let’s have the conversation before it becomes urgent. Planning brings stability. Waiting often brings stress. My team and I are here for both, but we believe prevention is always the stronger path.

It’s a privilege to guide families through these decisions, and I never take that responsibility lightly.

New Year, Fresh Commitment

As we step into this new year, we renew our commitment to what matters most—our clients, their families, and the caregivers who make our mission possible. At Home Helpers, we believe home care is more than a service—it’s an investment into safety, dignity, independence, and peace of mind. While many agencies focus on filling hours, we focus on building relationships and care teams that last. We take the time to understand each client’s routines, preferences, and risks, and we design care plans that evolve as needs change. We invest deeply in training, oversight, and communication so families are never left wondering what’s happening in their home. When families choose us, they’re not just purchasing time—they’re investing in consistency, trust, and a better quality of life. Our goal is not just to show up, but to deliver consistent, outcome-driven care that feels personal, professional, and dependable. This is our promise for the year ahead—and every year to come.

  • Improving physical and mental health and reducing the risk of burnout
  • Allowing loved ones to remain safely at home

  • Alleviating the strain on family relationships by providing time apart

Ultimately, respite empowers families to maintain a nurturing and supportive environment while ensuring that both the caregiver and the cared-for individual remain healthy and happy.

Whether you are supporting a family member recovering from surgery, providing end-of-life care, or assisting someone living with disabilities, Home Helpers is here to help. Payment for respite care, like any in-home caregiving service, varies depending on individual circumstances. For some families, services may be out-of-pocket or privately funded, while for others, insurance policies such as Medicare may offer partial payment.
