After spending a decade helping local business owners open and grow their businesses, she decided to pursue entrepreneurship. She explored various opportunities, including real estate, digital marketing, advertising, franchises, and retail, before discovering Home Helpers. With a background as a Certified Nursing Assistant and extensive experience in healthcare since 1985, she felt Home Helpers aligned with her business goals of making a meaningful impact in the community and state. Her passion for West Virginia and its people drives her mission to provide employment opportunities that contribute to the local economy and enhance the quality of life.
Her journey in healthcare began in 1985 at a nursing home in Hagerstown, where she earned her CNA designation. She discovered an affinity for working with seniors, leading her to various roles, including five years at a local hospice and managing a healthcare staffing company in Baltimore. In this role, she negotiated staffing contracts with hospitals across the U.S. and facilitated international recruitment of allied health professionals. Upon returning to West Virginia, she transitioned to digital marketing and advertising, becoming an expert in search engine marketing and optimization and assisting over 400 local business owners. During this time, she earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Eventually, seeking a more impactful venture, she found Home Helpers.
Born in Martinsburg and raised in Charles Town, she is married to Brian Fausey, and together they own American Pest Control, LLC. Brian, originally from Pennsylvania, served 20 years in the Army and has lived globally. They have a blended family of six grown children and thirteen grandchildren, along with three dachshunds. Their military connection fuels their commitment to serving the Veteran community, particularly in helping Veterans and their spouses apply for the Pension Aid & Attendant Benefit for home care. They also support several local charities.
