Regional Manager
Maggie is the Regional Manager for Home Helpers’ Lehigh Valley office
Maggie states that her relationship with her grandmother is what put her on the path to work with older adults in the capacity of a social worker. “I was always blessed with remarkable role models, and found several social workers to learn from, and emulate. I cannot imagine doing anything else as a career. My previous work experience was in a long-term care setting, working directly with residents suffering with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and supporting their families. I later worked with residents living on the independent living side of a senior living community, focused on successfully helping older adults to age in place.
My work as the Regional Manager at Home Helpers has brought those worlds together. I really enjoy working with our families and helping to continue to provide education and options as they navigate the aging cycle. Every day we are working with the greatest generation of selfless, gifted, talented, dedicated and proud older adults. We have been given a chance to improve their quality of life. That is a gift, and one I want to take very good care of. Our greatest asset internally is the team of dedicated and committed professionals who work at Home Helpers. We are extraordinary in our passion for service excellence and support each other every day.”
When she is not working, Maggie looks forward to the time she is able to spend with her husband and two grown sons and daughter in law. They adore their Chocolate Labrador and all enjoy family vacations and “Family Days” set aside for adventures, such as biking and kayaking. She enjoys cooking and entertaining, being outside all year, travelling and the beach whenever possible. Maggie volunteers her time to the Children’s Home in Easton for special events and as a partner in the Birthday Cake Brigade, to Arts Quest in Bethlehem for Musikfest and Celtic Fest. She has been a volunteer for 17 years with the Alzheimer’s Association, raising funds and awareness for the National Walk to End Alzheimer’s, speaking at educational programs and community requests, and as a facilitator for caregiver support groups.

We truly do enable older adults to live as independently as possible, wherever they call home.”

Tom received his BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and later went on to earn his MBA from LaSalle University. Tom’s engineering career in medical device manufacturing had him traveling the world, working with diverse teams who were focused on operational efficiencies and supply chain logistics.
A personal family care need, however, drew him to be interested in the home care industry. Tom is passionate about assuring quality care is delivered to our clients, as he knows, first hand from his own close family members, the value of a trusted and supportive care provider in the home. Because of these personal experiences, Tom was inspired to start his own Home Helpers agency in 2006, and quickly collaborated with his neighboring franchisees, Frank Esterle and Greg Scheck, to serve the community. The three ultimately decided to combine their service areas in 2008, and serve all of Bucks County, most of Montgomery County and the Lehigh Valley.

"Maggie, Mel and staff at Home Helpers, Thank you so much for the many years you took care of our mother, and for all everyone did for her. She had a good life, but the last three years had been difficult for her. She is in a much better place. Again, I can’t express how much I’ve appreciated all of you, and what you did for her."
Read More"The support from Maggie and Home Helpers has been enlightening in our search for the best care for my Mother. No other agency that I met with offered to provide the same approach and dedication to understanding our needs. "
Read More"I have been using Home Helpers for both short- and long-term help for over 7 years. The caring from the staff has been extraordinary. The many different options of help make the company flexible, as needs change. The availability has run the gamut of help from a few partial days to 24.7 care. The encouragement received has made recuperation in my home a possibility, not a burden. My family and I would recommend Home Helpers in a heartbeat!"
Read More"My first experience with Home Helpers was when my parents needed extra help around the house. I called five or six agencies and Home Helpers answered. This was a first indicator that they have a good system for responding to needs quickly. They take their work seriously and listen to what the needs are, and then they respond appropriately. After we had experienced Home Helpers for several months with a low level of assistance, there was a need for an intensive level of service very quickly and again Home Helpers responded. When that need passed, they just as quickly backed off. Each of the people who come to assist are kind, compassionate, professional and skilled. They get to know the clients and respond to their needs. It's a tricky thing to fit into someone else's home and these people seem to have the right knack."

We are so grateful To have such a kind, thoughtful, caring person to help with our Mother and her needs. She is wonderful in communicating with me. I am very grateful for Home helpers and their service. Also, would like to extend my appreciation to Maggie. She is kind and thoughtful. She always has a listening ear and has gotten me through a few tearful moments. With so much gratitude and appreciation! Jen Brown"
Read More"Our family would recommend Home Helpers as caring professionals who meet the needs of the client and the requests of the family. We were so grateful for all the complete care the helpers provided when we could not be there. They also went above what was needed to make sure every comfort was provided for our family member. Thank you Home Helpers!"
