Kay Jurica opened Home Helpers of Bourbonnais in 2008 to provide care to seniors in the Kankakee area and is recently expanded to Will County. Home Helpers has received numerous awards recognizing outstanding growth, Client Satisfaction, and Employer of Choice by the National Home Helpers organization, Small Business of the Year by the Kankakee Chamber of Commerce 2018 and Senior Provider of the Year by The Daily Journal 2018.
She completed her education as a certified respiratory therapist at Kankakee Community College. She worked at Christ Hospital, Presence St. Mary’s Hospital and Riverside Medical Center.
She previously served on the boards of the Kankakee County Medical Society Alliance, the Women in Network organization, the Kankakee County Alzheimer’s Association and St. Joseph’s Church in Manteno, and a past member a member of the local Business Networking, International. (BNI).
She now serves on the board of Options Center for Independent Living, Inc.
She and her husband have five grown children. She enjoys crocheting, traveling, and gardening.
Sara started her career as a CNA and worked in a nursing home before turning to Home Care. She first worked as a CNA for Home Helpers starting in 2015. Sara became the Office Manager in 2018. She now works as the Director of Operations. Sara is responsible for marketing, community events, and scheduling, and supervising all Home Helpers employees.
Sara is married to her husband James, and together they share two dogs and a cat. They enjoy working in their home and being outdoors.
Rebecca started at Home Helpers as a caregiver and now has the opportunity to grow with the company as our Office Manager. Her grandmother has been a large influence in her life as Rebecca helped take care of her as she grew up.
Rebecca will be responsible for payroll, billing, hiring, and assisting with the schedule. She loves to read a good book with her two cats and savor a hot cup of coffee.
Ally started her career as a caregiver while she completed her bachelor’s in healthcare administration at East Coast Polytechnic Institute – ECPI University. She became our Home Helpers Client Care Coordinator in 2023. Ally assists with 90-day reviews, client assessments, and creating service plans.
She and her significant other have one child and three fur babies. Ally enjoys reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kate is our weekday Lead Caregiver. Her main responsibility is to ensure that we provide proper and reliable coverage to all existing clients. Whenever a new client needs to begin care, Kate will start off the care in most cases. Her goal is to ensure the service plan is accurate to the care needed, and she will train the regular caregiver staffed to the client as well. Kate has been in caregiving for 6 years now. She finds it to be a true passion of hers. Since starting with Home Helpers, Kate says the people she has met have been wonderful and it is truly a privilege for her, to make a difference in someone’s life who truly needs the care. She says that working with Home Helpers has made such a positive and exciting impact on her life.
