Why We Started Home Helpers – And Why We Haven’t Stopped
Our story begins in the early 1990’s, watching our grandmother face the final chapter of her battle with cancer at home. She wanted to stay in her own home, surrounded by the people and the life she loved. What our family needed then – someone skilled, compassionate and steady enough to walk that road alongside us – was harder to find than it should have been.
That experience planted something in us that never left. When we brought Home Helpers to Cincinnati in 2004, we weren’t building a business – we were answering a calling we had felt personally, in the most difficult moments of our own lives.
And we haven’t stopped, because life hasn’t let us. We have walked through our own mother’s journey with Alzheimer’s – not as observers, but as family caregivers – right alongside the thousands of Cincinnati families we have served over the past two decades.
