Kari has been part of the heart of Home Helpers since the very beginning. Starting as a Caregiver, growing into a Lead Caregiver, and now serving as our Care Coordinator, Kari’s journey reflects her passion for helping others, her natural leadership, and her dedication to making a difference.

With caregiving experience dating back to, as she likes to say, “the 1900s,” Kari brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and just the right amount of humor to everything she does.

Kari has played an instrumental role in shaping the way we care at Home Helpers. She dedicated countless hours to helping develop our Caregiver Pathway Program, creating opportunities for caregivers to grow, build confidence, and feel supported while providing exceptional care to our clients.

If you’ve ever visited our office, chances are you’ve been greeted by Kari’s contagious smile. Her cheerful personality, calming presence, and ability to find a little humor in almost any situation make her someone that clients, families, and caregivers naturally turn to for encouragement and support.

And when Kari isn’t busy caring for others at Home Helpers, she somehow finds time to do even more! In her “free” time, she mentors women through the Women’s EmpowHERment Series, helping encourage and empower women in their personal journeys. She’s also an entrepreneur and the founder of Amicus Mortis, her end-of-life doula business, where she extends her passion for compassion, dignity, and meaningful support to individuals and families navigating life’s final chapter. Kari is also certified in Five Wishes, further reflecting her commitment to helping individuals communicate their wishes and approach important life decisions with dignity and peace of mind.

Whether she’s supporting a caregiver, guiding a family, empowering women, or simply brightening someone’s day, Kari leads with heart, wisdom, and a genuine love for people.
