Home Helpers vs Private Caregivers
Home Helpers Caregivers vs Private Hire
Hiring Home Helpers is the Best Option for You and Your Loved One
Avoid Being a Private Employer!
Services: We do a thorough assessment of our client’s needs and provide them with only the services they ask for. Our invoices are detailed and document hours and services provided.
Hiring: We hire experienced caregivers, using a two-person team, and ultimately only hire people who we would send to our own family.
Employees: All our caregivers are employees of Home Helpers. We pay their taxes and contribute to Medicare, UI, and Social Security. Privately hired caregivers are solely the responsibility of the client. You become the employer of record which has legal implications.
Liability Insurance and Worker’s Compensation: We have General and Professional Liability Insurance, as well as a Workers’ Compensation policy. This removes liability from the family and the client.
Scheduling: We are responsible for scheduling our caregivers and will find replacements if necessary.
Supervision: We provide ongoing supervision of our caregivers to ensure that the client is satisfied and the caregiver understands their responsibilities. Both owners as well as our Quality Assurance Manager regularly visit our clients.
Back Up: Should a caregiver call in sick or need to be replaced, we will handle the change for you. This can be a crucial issue for families who have a private caregiver who suddenly becomes sick, or quits.
