    I know personally how important it is, when the need arises, to have a genuinely caring and skilled caregiver there to help a loved one. I saw my father struggle with Parkinson’s disease for years. He had a strong, loving and playful spirit. He was the wisest man I knew. Joe was his caregiver for years. He became a trusted and reliable ally to my father. What was so beautiful is that my father was able to keep his dignity, his independence and enjoy his familial relationships because Joe provided a level of care that was professional, caring and trustworthy. My father lived to be 93 years old in the comfort of his home. That is the quality of life we provide to our clients whether young or old.

    I am involved in creating customized care plans for each of our clients and in hiring every caregiver on our staff. I take particular care in matching our caregivers and clients, to provide the most positive homecare experience. Our hiring process and training guidelines are extensive as we are committed to having exceptional caregivers on our team. They are the heartbeat of our business which stems from our vision and intention to provide the best quality of life for our clients and their loved ones.

We are all really passionate about matching an amazing caregiver with each of our clients. We never lose sight of the fact that, while their physical bodies may not be youthful anymore, our clients’ core identity harkens back to their younger years. We really try to engage with their true selves while we provide the care that they need.

    Working with Home Helpers has been extremely fulfilling.  I have the opportunity to assess all initial clients and get a glimpse of their life and the needs of the season they’re in when we meet them. And then continue to connect thru their time with us. In most cases I can assist them sort things out whether clinical or long term planning. If it helps things go a little smoother that’s a win.

    Another aspect that brings me joy is the orientation and continued relationships with our caregivers. They hold a special place in my heart!

    In her free time, Theresa can be found spending time with her family as well as volunteering and being an advocate for Childhood Cancer.
