Home Helpers Recognizes Employee of the Year 2024: Tamothy “Tammy”

I can’t thank George and Patricia of Home Helpers of Thousand Oaks enough for the beautiful orchid and their many kindnesses both before and after the loss of my father. Because of them, his last months were as comfortable as possible and in accordance with his wishes, at home, and surrounded by the memories of his life with my mother and in the Navy. Their caregivers Jerome, Taylor, and Courtney cared for my father with the utmost compassion. They were the perfect in every way. We will never forget them and Home Helpers .

George and Patricia, it just didn’t seem right to thank the caregivers and not include the two of you. I know I’ve said it before, but allow me to express my deepest thanks to you once again. You sent us lovely, skilled women to help our beloved mother at her hour of need. For that, we are forever grateful. We wish, you and Home Helpers of Thousand Oaks continued success. With love and thanks.

Words cannot possibly express how truly grateful we are to George and Patricia of Home Helpers of Thousand Oaks. From that first desperate hospital bedside phone call to all the calls and meetings in between, they’ve been there with kindness, caring and support. We believe there are Angels among us, much like our beautiful Mother as well as both George and Patricia who guide those in need with great compassion. We thank them so very much for their loving friendship with Peg and for all the care and concern they’ve given us. We feel truly blessed.

In January of this year, I fell down the stairs at my home, I would have never thought this would happen to me. I was very seriously injured and after a hospital stay, I was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital. My family, of course, was there for me, but I knew when I went home I would need care beyond what they could provide with their busy lives. I spoke to a case manager at the hospital and she brought me some brochures for home care services. The top brochure was from Home Helpers and the case manager had written the word “premium” in large letters! So I called and spoke to George Jones and he said they would be in contact with me to explain how home services work. Before I knew it, both George and his lovely wife Patricia were sitting at my bedside. I had no idea as to how much or what kind of help I needed, but they were very patient and guided me through. I had in-home care for about three months and everyone that came was so kind and helpful. They trained me well, and by the time I was ready to be on my own, I knew exactly what to do. I’m so grateful to all of them and even though I am happy to have my house back, I miss all the ladies (and so do my dogs!!) (The dogs are still waiting by the door each morning). Thank you, Patricia and George.  

I am writing this review on behalf of my family and my mother thanking Home helpers for the care provided to our mother for the past 8 years. The staff at home helpers along with the daily care provided was always provided with the utmost PROFESSIONALISM. The caregivers took care of every aspect of my mothers day giving us the ASSURANCE She was well cared for when we COULDN'T be with her. On many OCCASION they went beyond by visiting her while in the hospital, spending time with her in her gardens and keeping her COMPANY watching her FAVORITE tv shows after their days were done. The caregivers from home helpers became part of our family. Mr. Dan Nathanson always made sure to follow up if there was a concern and we were also able to call with any questions or REQUEST That needed to be ADDRESSED. My mother passed May 2022 and Home Helpers was with us in her final days. We will always be GRATEFUL for their service and care. Susan Pope Houston, Tx
