Our mother had another fall at home and was transported to doctors hospital in Sarasota to be checked out. At the time it was just me (her son) caring for her at home along with routine visits for bathing help. I knew that we needed a little more help and this began With having Home Helpers Homecare come to the hospital when she was discharged and bringing her back home and to her own bedroom. My mother was quite weak at this point and I was very happy that they said they could come to the hospital and bring her back home since i didn’t feel I could safely do it. After they got her into her house and back to her own bedroom we talked about having more help for her at the house and they really worked with me to get started on having attentive care without us having to relocate her to a nursing home which we did not want to do. After this latest downturn in her health. She couldn’t really get out of bed. They bathed her in her bed, helped her eat and drink, helped in the kitchen, and told me that they would help with anything that might need to be done. I really appreciate that I was able to have them come and be here for about a half day or so each time with the option of calling them at any time of day or night if I were to need more help.
