September is here! As the seasons change, it’s a great time to check in on our
aging loved ones and make sure home remains a safe, comfortable place to
live.
5 Simple Fall Safety Checks
- Clear the pathways — Remove clutter, loose rugs, cords and other tripping
hazards. - Light the way — Shorter days mean less natural light. Check hallways, stairs
and bathrooms. - Check the stairs — Make sure handrails are secure and stairs are clear.
- Keep essentials within reach — Reduce unnecessary reaching, climbing and
use of step stools. - Pay attention to mobility changes — If your loved one seems less steady or is
avoiding activities, it may be time to discuss additional support.

A Message From Brandy
As our parents get older, many families find themselves asking: Are Mom and
Dad safe? Are they eating well? Are they lonely? Can they continue living at
home? Those are questions I understand personally. Our goal is to provide
dependable support that makes life at home a little easier—for seniors and for
the families who love them.
