Respite for Family Caregivers, Home Care, and Alzheimer’s Care in Suffield CT
Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, I will be at the Suffield Senior Center to speak about Home Care, Alzheimer’s Care, Respite for Family Caregivers, and other issues that affect our elderly community.
You can find me at the Home Helpers booth at the Caring for Self & Others Health & Flu Shot Fair organized by the Suffield Community Aid.

The event also offers seniors, caregivers, and other community members a variety of free screenings as well as supportive resources to promote enhanced health and wellbeing. Here are a few highlights:
- Attorney Marcia Hess will make a presentation on Advanced Directives;
- Lenny Burlingame will offer “Harmonica Mindful Breathing”;
- Hartford Hospital’s ‘Take the Time Digital Mobile Mammography’ will be on-site. (Preregistration is required for the mammography screenings.)
- Flu shots will be offered by the North Central District Health Department throughout the event.
- Of course, there will be complimentary food and raffles!
