If a kid has been good for goodness sake, Santa will visit his home with a bag full of presents, right? Well, in Suffield, seniors who receive meals via the Meals on Wheels program are also receiving Santa’s visit!

The initiative comes from one of the volunteer drivers in the program who has been dressing up as Santa for over a decade, now, to deliver meals to seniors around the Christmas time. Among those who received Santa’s visit is our client Joe, in the picture (used with his permission). Santa said he was "extra-good", this year.

Meals on wheels is an initiative of the Emergency Aid Association. They coordinate the delivery of daily meals to Suffield residents who are homebound. Residents must be at least 60 years of age and be considered incapable of leaving their residences to purchase food, according to criteria set by the program. Volunteers deliver the meals which are prepared by the Community Renewal Team in Hartford.
