Meet Our Team

Hello!
I am Courtney Duran, owner of Home Helpers Home Care of Aberdeen. We were blessed to grow-up together in Las Vegas, NV. During our marriage, Richard served 12 honorable years in the United States Marine Corps, and Courtney worked in healthcare as a Certified Nurse Assistant and Paramedic. The Marine Corps brought us to many wonderful places including Okinawa, Japan as well as Jacksonville, NC. We knew North Carolina was where we wanted to settle and raise our family. In 2017, we were fortunate enough to move to the Fort Liberty area. Our daughter has attended elementary school in Moore County. Courtney continued her career as a Paramedic, and Richard started his civilian career as the Deputy Safety Director for First Special Forces Command on Fort Liberty. Our dedication and commitment to this community grows every day.
Courtney’s work as a Paramedic brought to light the large number of our new neighbors and friends that needed a little extra help at home. There was and is a growing need for in-home care in our community. Both of us found ourselves trying to fill that need in our free time. We would assist with driving to the doctor’s office, purchasing and putting away groceries, preparing and delivering meals, as well as providing much needed companionship. This was most needed in our local veteran community. Often, our local veterans would have little to no support around them as they aged in their home, and we were more than happy to help. In February of 2023, we decided in-home caregiving was our path in life, and we opened Home Helpers Home Care of Aberdeen. We hope to continue to provide in-home caregiving services to all of our neighbors, friends, and community members.
Since opening Home Helpers Home Care of Aberdeen, we have worked with some of the most experienced, educated, and compassionate caregivers. Our hearts are full that they would choose to work with us and provide premium in-home caregiving services to our clients. We know our clients are happier and healthier with the help of our wonderful staff. This is a tradition we look forward to continuing in our community long into the future.
