Meet Our Team

I’m David Foor – I own and operate Home Helpers Home Care of Saginaw with my wife, Kelly. Our journey to Home Helpers Home Care started when I was fighting cancer. Between chemo, radiation, surgery and everything that comes with battling cancer, I saw that the experience took a toll on my family, but especially on Kelly. Trying to be my wife, my support and my caregiver – while still doing everything she needed to do every day – was challenging. I knew some of what she was going through because, when I was 13, a car accident left my dad as a quadriplegic – I watched my mother spend her mornings doing physical therapy.

What we realized was, in both of those situations, an in-home caregiver could have a huge difference – for me, for my dad and for our families. That’s what inspired us to launch Home Helpers Home Care here in Saginaw.

At Home Helpers Home Care, we offer the industry’s leading model for comprehensive care with its unique care program, Cared-4SM, which ensures clients receive comprehensive care in four key areas: Personal Care and Companionship, Nutrition and Meal Planning, 24/7 Emergency Response, and Wellness Calls.

Kelly has a long history of being an entrepreneur and currently owns a salon business. I spent more than 30 years as a front-line supervisor, where I helped with processes, hiring and leadership. We are also both Christians with a strong heart for service. As we were thinking about our next steps, we knew that whatever we did next with our lives and our careers would make a difference for people right here in our community.

This is a truly needed service and we’ve found, in most situations, people don’t even know it’s available. We look forward to making sure people know we are here and that they can trust us with their care and the care of their loved ones. We are looking forward to helping families get back to being family members rather than full-time caregivers and to helping those who need assistance live safely and comfortably wherever they call home.
