Service has always been close to my heart – all the way back to when I served in the military after high school through my experience building sales and distribution teams across the country. I’m Jeff Meyer and I’m excited to be back to my service roots as the owner of Home Helpers Home Care of Rock Hill.
Home Helpers Home Care is unique because of our commitment to creating care plans that are unique to each of our clients and offering an extended level of care with our Cared-4 system, which provides the four necessary components to living independently. This includes Personal Care and Companionship, Nutrition and Meal Planning, 24/7 Emergency Monitoring, and Wellness Calls to help ensure medications and hydration are maintained. My team works with clients and families in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Indian Land, Baxter Village, Sun City, India Hook, Newport, York, Wooded Valley, Wintercrest, Riverview, Lesslie, Shady Oaks, Sunset Acres, Tirzah and the surrounding areas.
After years of traveling and working in Corporate America, I was ready to do something meaningful and personal here in my community. To create a company to provide compassionate in-home care tailored to meet the needs of seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or surgery. I was thinking about my next steps when I called an old friend who launched an in-home care company more than 20 years ago. I was fully expecting him to have left the business after a few years and moved on, but to my surprise, he had built an incredibly successful agency with a huge staff and he was loving it. His passion for the work piqued my interest. I did my research and Home Helpers Home Care was a great opportunity to bring that kind of company to my community.

Vice President of Operations
Kate didn’t just enter healthcare—she jumped in headfirst over a decade ago as a caregiver with Home Helpers, before furthering her career, both clinically and clerically. Today, as Vice President of Operations, she’s the calm in the chaos, the solver of problems, and the keeper of everything running smoothly (with Coca-Cola in hand, of course).
Originally from New Jersey, Kate now manages a wonderfully busy life with her husband, four kids, and two ducks—Kiwi and Waddles—who absolutely believe they run the household. Outside of work, you can find her cheering at an NHL hockey game or camped out at the baseball fields, living her best sports-mom life.
A natural leader with a big heart and a great sense of humor, Kate brings energy, compassion, and just the right amount of “let’s make this better” to every day.

Where do I start. I placed a phone call after hours in noticing this company with ratings which seemed very genuine in the reviews given. Our family was in need of services with in Home help for our Step Father. He has dementia. I left a message after hours with their answering service. To my amazement I recvd a return call back from Jennifer at Home Helpers. Jennifer coordinates care as a team with the Owner Debbie and is with you from start to finish. I knew immediately the company was a good fit. The office is available- answers the phone- returns calls- walks you thru in educating you of the process- provides solutions - seeks information- does their very best to provide the experienced fit for your loved one. The company provides training- incentives and finds ways ti make their days special. Most important the company knows their staff providing deep respect and care as well. Home Helpers company Owner Debbie went to the rehab facility to meet with my mom (she broke her femur) to see if indeed this could work together as a team for care. I came from another state to be here for my mom and realized it was more care that was ever imaginable. The company as a whole reassured us they would find a caring- experienced - compassionate and reliable caregiver. Well they did!!! A peace of mind has set in & comfort level began. A remarkable company in 2 locations that sets standards for their team- care givers and includes the home family to be part of all of it. May everyone experience a sense of calm even though there may be some storms during the process on this journey. He is a World War ll Veteran and he deserves the experience and quality of care this company has brought to their home. We now can focus on memories- moments and miracles moving forward. With Gratitude and so much more... Debbie Holzendorf
Read MoreI had the pleasure of working for Home Helpers of Clearwater, and I can’t say enough good things about this company. They truly care about both their employees and their clients. The office staff was always kind, supportive, and understanding. They were flexible with my schedule and worked with me whenever I needed adjustments, which made balancing work and family much easier. One of the things I appreciated most was being matched with wonderful clients. It was clear that Home Helpers takes the time to pair caregivers with clients where they can build meaningful relationships. I always felt respected, valued, and supported. If you’re looking for employment or care for your loved ones in Pinellas County I would 10/10 recommend them!

Read MoreMy aunt is 88 yrs young, had been diagnosed with dementia several years ago. There were a few adjustments she had to deal with once the diagnosis was made by her doctor, like having someone to drive her wherever she needed (after having her driver’s license revoked) but, she was still a very independent person, very engaging and she enjoyed her life. A few days after being discharged home from the hospital after having surgery for a bowel obstruction things took a rapid downturn. Although physically, she was recuperating just fine, her mentation took a nose dive. She needed constant supervision, to ensure she did things like grooming and dressing herself, reminding her to do things, simple things. This proved to be such a dramatic change and burdensome for just one person to do. As well as dishearten, caring for a loved one who was once very vibrant, to suddenly needing constant supervision, like that of a child. Home Helpers Home care was there to give assistance. Their (caregivers) proved to be trained and very professional handling the situation. They helped with my aunts’ care, her hygienic needs, ensured her medication regimen was adhered to. Importantly, the caregivers helped to engage her, stimulated her mentally, played children’s video games involving recognition of shapes and colors, numbers and words. It seemed to relieve some of the anxiety my aunt was displaying in other ways. They made us feel (family) feel comfortable and confident in their skills. We really made the right choice by choosing them to assist us in caring for my aunt. I would recommend them highly to anyone in this situation.
