I cannot possibly say enough about the care that Home Helpers has provided. Particularly Gail the nurse and Danielle and Lara who are the primary care givers.

The initial need for care was small – five days a week for 4 hours per day. But my dad’s health changed rapidly and we had to employ 24/7 care on short notice for both mom and dad. Mom has had dementia for 5+ years and dad was suddenly diagnosed with dementia and the onset was rapid and severe. Lara stepped up to cover more shifts and made sure we had a good plan in place to keep them healthy and safe.

When dad was hospitalized for the final time, Danielle made sure mom got to visit him and Lara also showed up on her day off because that’s how much they care. We did not know at the time but Dad would pass later that night. They would not have had that final moment together without their proactive action. They truly care and have felt like members of the family from day one.

My wife and I contracted HH to provide an experienced Helper for care being administered to me especially. Alexis cared for both us in different ways since I was the patient needing bodily care such as bathing and dressing in the am.

My mother has dementia, Alzheimer’s most likely. After breaking her hip, the only way she was allowed to return back to her assisted living facility was with the support of 24/7 care. After searching many companies in the Triangle area I found Home Helpers, and am delighted with the results.
From my first conversation with owner Frank, we immediately agreed on and had the philosophy of surrounding my Mom with love and care as she recovered. He worked diligently to match her with Caregivers that had experience with dementia as well as rehab. Lily and Cynthia are two of the finest caregivers with whom I have ever worked. They were loving, supportive, and got my Mom stronger than before she broke her hip. Each time I visited Mom, there was something new to show evidence of their care – a colored picture, painted toenails, a nice neat outfit with freshly washed hair (which is a challenge with dementia patients.)
