Born and raised in New Castle, John attended St. Vitus grade school and graduated from New Castle High School. He is a graduate of Penn State University with dual degrees, including a B.S. Degree in Health Administration and B.S. Degree in Nursing. He is also a graduate of the Jameson Hospital School of Nursing.
John’s career work includes ten years of hospital human resources management and over 20 years as a registered nurse, working in the disciplines of home care and critical care.
After years of living in Chicago, and other areas of Pennsylvania, John returned to New Castle in 1999 to be closer to family and to continue his nursing career.
In 2009, John became President of the New Castle, PA office of Home Helpers establishing the business with the help of Amy, from a home office.
