Meet Our Team

I’m Kristina Lessard, the local owner and operator of Home Helpers Home Care of New Braunfels. After spending 25 years in staffing — 10 of those in both medical and non-medical healthcare — I know what it takes to build an amazing team that’s focused on care and compassion. I’ve had the privilege of helping people find meaningful work and supporting families through some of their most vulnerable moments. That work has been the most fulfilling part of my career.

Over time, I felt a deeper calling to do something more personal and purpose-driven — something led by faith and guided by service. That, combined with my experience, led me to open Home Helpers Home Care of New Braunfels with my husband, Joe. Joe is a proud Texas A&M graduate and a Navy veteran. His heart for service and strong leadership, combined with our shared values, make us a great team in this new mission.

At Home Helpers Home Care, we offer the industry’s leading model for comprehensive care with its unique care program, Cared-4SM, which ensures clients receive comprehensive care in four key areas: Personal Care and Companionship, Nutrition and Meal Planning, 24/7 Emergency Response, and Wellness Calls.

Companion care is close to my heart. As a widow, I understand the worry and emotion that comes with trusting someone to care for your loved one. That experience taught me how sacred it is to care for others with compassion, integrity, and respect. I truly believe God has placed this opportunity in front of us for a reason — to use our gifts to serve others during times of need.

Joe and I feel called to serve this beautiful community with love, faith, and purpose. This isn’t just a business—it’s a way for us to make a meaningful difference, one family and one life at a time. Our team works with clients and families through San Antonio, New Braunfels and the surrounding areas. We look forward to meeting you!
