We needed some extra help for my aunt who lives alone, and Home Helpers Home Care of Mission Valley has been a great fit for our family. She had always managed with help from family and friends, but we realized she needed something more consistent. Her caregiver comes a couple times a week and has been wonderful. She helps my aunt get out of the house, run errands, and do things she wasn’t able to do as easily before. We started with Home Helpers Home Care of Mission Valley after being recommended by a neighbor. In the beginning, we did have some issues with a caregiver not doing everything we expected, and I wasn’t fully happy at first. What I appreciated though was that the owner Quyen actually checked in with us and listened when I explained the concerns. Not long after, they switched us to an older caregiver who has been much more responsible, attentive, and caring with my mom. Overall I would recommend them, but I’d also say to be clear about what’s important to you and communicate your expectations. I liked that the owner took the concerns seriously and made the effort to fix the situation instead of ignoring it.

Short Notice Staffing Home Helpers Home Care of Mission Valley was very responsive and quickly arranged caregivers for us on short notice. We already had a personal caregiver for my parents, but needed additional support due to a hospital visit. Their communication was excellent, and they worked quickly to provide multiple caregivers who could cover all of our needs. We were very satisfied with their professionalism, responsiveness, and ability to help during a stressful time.

I was happy with my initial talk with the owner, and upon telling him of our grandfather having served in the military before he past, he was able to offer us a slight discount for being a VA household. The coordination between different caregivers made things smoother for our grandmother and helped maintain consistency in her care. Even though we ultimately had a family member step in to help, the employee was very helpful and took the time to explain different care options, ways families may be able to help cover the cost of care, and resources available in the community including medicare guide. Helpful and responsive care team We found Home Helpers Home Care through A Place for Mom while looking for some extra support at home for my father, who has balance issues and lives alone. The agency was easy to communicate with from the beginning and took the time to understand what type of caregiver would be the best fit for him. We appreciated that they listened to his prefernce for a female caregiver and worked to accommodate that. The caregiver been helping with meal preparation, housekeeping, and making sure he is safe around the house. My aunt is 88 yrs young, had been diagnosed with dementia several years ago. There were a few adjustments she had to deal with once the diagnosis was made by her doctor, like having someone to drive her wherever she needed (after having her driver’s license revoked) but, she was still a very independent person, very engaging and she enjoyed her life. A few days after being discharged home from the hospital after having surgery for a bowel obstruction things took a rapid downturn. Although physically, she was recuperating just fine, her mentation took a nose dive. She needed constant supervision, to ensure she did things like grooming and dressing herself, reminding her to do things, simple things. This proved to be such a dramatic change and burdensome for just one person to do. As well as dishearten, caring for a loved one who was once very vibrant, to suddenly needing constant supervision, like that of a child. Home Helpers Home care was there to give assistance. Their (caregivers) proved to be trained and very professional handling the situation. They helped with my aunts’ care, her hygienic needs, ensured her medication regimen was adhered to. Importantly, the caregivers helped to engage her, stimulated her mentally, played children’s video games involving recognition of shapes and colors, numbers and words. It seemed to relieve some of the anxiety my aunt was displaying in other ways. They made us feel (family) feel comfortable and confident in their skills. We really made the right choice by choosing them to assist us in caring for my aunt. I would recommend them highly to anyone in this situation.

This agency ( Home Helpers of Fremont/Union City CA) strive for quality and excellent services when it comes to caring to sick and elderly people. During this time she has handled all my needs in a professional and caring manner. She also helps in the caring of my dog, Shakira, by walking her every day for about 30-45 minutes. I would highly recommend Barbara as a caregiver because she is a responsible, caring and trustworthy person. He was helpful, understanding, and most of all flexible. He understood my situation and that we will need more and more care as time goes on. He built that into his plan for us. He kept checking with us to ensure everything was going smoothly. I mentioned that we might need someone a little more proactive and he suggested we try a different caregiver to see if it made a difference. It did and my sister and I are both quite happy with the current situation. I can't express enough how amazing Nooji is. Nooji is amazing! We called for someone to sit with my developmentally disabled sister overnight in the COVID unit of UCD. When she left UCD we continued overnight care at the skilled nursing facility. We had a overnight caregiver for a month total. No one else could accommodate us but Nooji and his team came through every night so I could go to my motel room to get a few hours rest. He often came himself if no one else was available and my sister really liked all the people that stayed with her. They kept logs of medication given and any other things of note during their shift. Nooji even used his connections to find the perfect nursing facility for my sister to rehab in. Above and beyond in every way. Highly recommend him!
