    Franchise Owner

I’ve spent my entire career serving other – in both the United States Army and in the private sector – and I’m pleased to bring that passion for service to Home Helpers Home Care.

I’m Dr. David L. Johnson and, as a veteran and having worked for the U.S. Army Wounded Warrior (AW2) Program under the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), I helped advocate for veterans transitioning back home, recovering from injuries or living with disabilities.

My team offers the industry’s leading model for comprehensive care with its unique care program, Cared-4sm, which provides the four necessary components to living independently. This includes Personal Care and COmpanionship, Nutrition and Meal Planning, 24/7Emergency Response, and Wellness Call to help ensure medications and hydration are maintained.

Home Helpers Home Care is unique because of our process for hiring caregivers and pairing them with our clients as well as our approach to comprehensive care. Whether you need someone full time or you’re looking for help monitoring your medication, we can customize a plan to suit your individual needs.

I’m an Alabama native and retired U.S. Army Colonel. I enlisted in the Reserve Component and completed my Basic Training and Advanced Training as a Cannon Crewman at Fort Still, Oklahoma in 1986. I obtained my commission in the Logistics Corp through the Auburn University ROTC Battalion in 1989. I’ve had the opportunity to work at the highest levels of the Department of Defense as a military officer and Federal Government civilian, including in both capacities for HQDA-G4/5/7, Strategic Plans, and Force Inegration; HQDA G-3/5/7 DAMO-SOC.

My military education includes the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, the Transportation Officer Basic Course, the Command Logistics Officer Advanced Course (CLOAC), the Command and General Staff College (GSCE), and the Joint Combined War-fighter School (JCWS) in Norfolk, Virginia. In the private business sector, I worked for the EXCHANGE – Army and Airforce Exchange Service in several primary leadership positions in the United States and Overseas. I was also a Senior Analyst for Corvus-Castellum Consulting, LLC for the Department of Defense in Cyber Security.

I am a graduate of Walden University, Doctor of Business Administration, Leadership, College of Management and Technology; Capella University, Master of Business Administration and Technology; Amber University, Master of Business Administration in Management; and Auburn University of Montgomery School of Business Administration.

I’m looking forward to combing that experience, my passion for helping fellow veterans and the Home Helpers system to make a big difference for veterans and families here in my community. My team and I work in Bristow, Catharpin, Dumfries, Gainesville, Haymarket, Manassas, Triangle, Woodbridge, and the surrounding communities. We can’t wait to meet you!
