Whether you need 24/7 care or just a little help with your daily living activities, My entire team is passionate about providing top-notch, compassionate care to our community. We want to make a difference by helping clients and their families live their lives to the fullest. We truly want to be there for them to help make their lives easier and more fulfilling.

I was inspired to start this business back in 2014 because I kept hearing from people in our community that they could not seem to find an In-Home Healthcare Agency that could provide them with Good Quality In-Home healthcare services. The families wanted to keep their loved ones at home but the current agencies were not providing the appropriate training for the clients’ caregiver nor did they have the caring staff during such a difficult time in their lives. From 2001 to 2007 my family experienced that same problem. In 2001 my father was diagnosed with a terminal condition called Amyloid Angiopathy. He encountered a massive brain bleed that led to two emergency brain surgeries in order to save his life. The second surgery the brain surgeon needed to insert a metal plate in his lower frontal lobe in order to finally stop the massive bleeding. Unfortunately, the stroke left him paralyzed in which his quality of life was diminished. He continued to endure mini strokes from the continual brain bleeds until he passed away in 2007. He went into the hospital a 6 Foot Strong Navy Man, a Wonderful Father, a Sweet Grandfather, Great husband, neighbor and friend. He served 12 years in the Navy, he was a business owner, race car driver and a great Missionary, helping other missionaries by fixing their cars, planes, etc… But when he came home from the hospital he was not the same person. He had very little memory and his behavior was so different. We all had to get to know him all over again. It was so hard for us the children but also for my mother who struggled to take care of him. She needed to have a home healthcare agency come to help her but what they sent into their home were under qualified and careless caregivers who were supposed to help alleviate stress but instead only caused them more stress.

I named our LLC after my Dad’s nickname for me – “Lollipop” Home Healthcare Services LLC but we do business under Home Helpers which is a National Franchise. Prior to opening Home Helpers, I had a career in the financial services industry working for several commercial banks in our community from 1987-2005. Since 2005 I have owned and operated my own financial services business “Shrawder Financial Services,” which is now under the name Riverfront Financial Services. I continue to own and operate Riverfront Financial Services in Sunbury PA.

My goal in my Personal and Professional life is to help make my clients lives better financially and physically as they continue through their Retirement years of life!

It was about 4 years ago exactly that we first conversed about caregiver coverage for my mother, Margaret. At the time I did not know if the Public-Partnerships option for aging waiver clients and I'm writing this note to thank you for takin on my mother and her live in caregiver client/employee for a nursing home was threatening to be a last option. I also want to explain that I had quickly no choice to change from your company in early 2020, as Mom's caregiver was on the verge of quitting had I not. As you may recall, you wanted my Mom to try a sit-to-stand lift in 2019. She did eventually try that lift in 2020, but wasn't able to use it. My mother passed away just before Christmas 2021 in part due to inadequate health care when she needed help. The unfortunate end to my mother's courageous battle against the horrors of Parkinson's Disease (as she described it) has added to my grieving. I send this note of thanks your way to help in the grieving process. May good health be with you and yours!
