Meet Our Team

Stephen and his wife Robyn started Home Helpers in the River Region in 2010. Robyn was raised in Montgomery and the two returned to the area after living in five states over 17 years of Air Force life. Robyn quickly became a part-time caregiver to her father who was a stroke victim. Stephen, who is now retired from active duty, had also witnessed his grandparents struggle through failing health and Alzheimer’s before they passed. These experiences made the two realize the great need for assistance to enable individuals to remain in their homes while minimizing the strain on their family members. And, as a veteran, Stephen loves helping other veterans get the care benefits their service to our country has earned.

Although Robyn ran the business initially, she has since turned the baton over to Stephen so she could resume teaching preschool. The couple has three grown children and two grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family and traveling anywhere, near or far.

Shelly was born in Baltimore, MD, and grew up in Southwestern PA. After moving to Alabama in 2016, she first worked in a senior living facility. She has since been a manager in-home care for several years. Before that, Shelly earned a degree in Business Management which gave her a better understanding of business strategies and effective operations.

Shelly’s passion for the elderly, and the joy she gets from seeing them remain happy and independent in their own home, began when she provided in-home care for several family members. She and her husband, Larry, have 5 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Aimee was born and raised in Baton Rouge, is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, and bleeds purple and gold for the LSU Tigers! But don’t hold that against her!! As a former Air Force spouse, she’s lived in the River Region for nearly 20 years in total. Aimee has a wide range of experiences from childcare to senior care, organizing volunteers, event planning, and more. She’s been successful in sales and marketing since she was a Girl Scout, working for non-profits and international corporations, and owning her own business.

Aimee’s passion is helping others. She loves being a resource for everything senior care related. She has experience and knowledge of senior facilities, primary care offices, supplies, transportation, benefits, and more! Whether you’re planning for aging in place or working toward improved outcomes, Aimee wants to help you help your loved ones during their golden years. Aimee truly cares for people and works hard to ensure her clients are taking full advantage of their benefits and receiving the very best care available.

Ginni was born in Niskayuna, NY, and moved up and down the Eastern coast as she grew up. She was raised by a long family line of military and medical personnel. After graduating from Prattville High School in 2011, she enlisted in the Navy as a hydraulics engineer. Following an injury in the service, she returned to her roots and swapped her battle dress uniform for nursing scrubs. Since then, Ginni has assisted seniors and adults with chronic conditions in their homes, in assisted living, nursing, and rehabilitation facilities, and in a health clinic as a nurse practitioner’s assistant. Now she leverages her military can-do attitude with an understanding of both caregiver and client needs to deftly manage the challenging role of scheduling hundreds of shifts a week. When she’s not working, Ginni spends her time with her son on their many adventures.

Raeshell Crawford was born in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in Canton, Ohio. After moving back to Prattville, Alabama to raise her 3 beautiful children in 2007, she worked in retail management for 17 years while continuing to work part-time as a CNA for a total of 20 years. Now Raeshell uses her management and caregiving experience to lead our recruiting and retention efforts. Raeshell says she enjoys working in a field she has a passion for—helping seniors spend their golden years at home.
