Home Helpers of Fremont and Union City is locally owned and operated by Wife and Husband team, Vishakha Salunkhe and Amby Nair. We have been fortunate to enjoy successful careers in tech industry and have combined 30+ years of experience. Belonging to a family of entrepreneurs we always wanted to transition to entrepreneurship but were looking for something that has a purpose and impact. We know finding the right care for ourselves or our loved one can be challenging, we have personal experience of caring for elderly in our family, it is difficult to care for aging parents while juggling multiple priorities of life but we don’t turn away from that responsibility. We decided to open Home Helpers in Fremont & Union City, with a goal to make it easy for families to look after their loved ones.
The pandemic changed all of us in many different ways. For us, we realized that our existence goes well beyond our jobs. We had opportunity to introspect and, while doing that, recalled the words from Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning. We find purpose with people around us. Everything we do and say has meaning if it is done while we’re with others.
In his book Man’s Search for Meaning, Viktor Frankl’s says the true meaning of life is discovered in the world, rather than within. He also says that we can discover meaning in three ways: (1) creating something or doing something positive every day, (2) loving or caring for another human being and (3) having courage in the face of unavoidable circumstances.
The reason we’re going into all of this is because, for us, Frankl’s work ties directly back to our desire to own a business that has a purpose and impact. We felt in love with mission and vision of Home Helpers Home Care. Home Helpers Home Care offers the industry’s leading model for comprehensive care with its unique care program, Cared-4SM, which provides the all the necessary components to living independently.
Our work is now purpose-driven. We get to connect caring people with people need of care. We get to meet amazing families looking for care and incredible caregivers looking to provide top-notch, compassionate, professional care. At the end of the day, what we do enables our caregivers, our families and ourselves to go to bed knowing they’ve made an impact. We look forward to making a positive impact on your life, too.
Our business has a dual mission, both are equally important. To serve as an extended family for our customers that they can count on when they need help & to build an amazing company where employees can find happiness and purpose that they are making a difference in other’s life.
