Ana Guillermo-Santiago, Community Liaison

Ana Guillermo-Santiago is our Community Liaison at Home Helpers whose main responsibility is developing and maintaining relationships/partnerships within the Manatee County community and promoting the agency’s services. In addition, as a certified facilitator of self-management health programs, she will be providing educational opportunities for seniors in the community.

Ana brings over 25 years of management experience working for one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States. During that experience, Ana was the manager of an H2U chapter, a senior wellness community center, for a large local hospital. Her chapter was the leading chapter across the country for all the years she managed the program, serving over 6,000 Manatee County residents. In her role as manager, she focused on providing health and wellness programs that enhanced and improved the daily lives of seniors living in Manatee County, including exercise programs, social activities, local day trips, extended trips both nationally and internationally, and much more. That opportunity created a foundation in Ana to pursue a career that prioritized the enrichment of the lives of seniors and their well-being.

Ana and her spouse George have enjoyed over 42 years of marriage. They transplanted their family of four from the Bronx, New York to Manatee County in 1996. As empty nesters, they enjoy traveling for leisure and visiting their adult children across the country. Ana is a foodie who also enjoys chair dancing and local shows/theatre.
