Meet Jessica Fortner, owner and Agency Director of Home Helpers Home Care of Belmont. With an MBA in International Business and a deep-seated passion for serving others, Jessica brings a unique blend of business expertise and empathy to the home care industry.

Having spent time working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Jessica understands the importance of dignity, respect, and personalized support. This firsthand experience has fueled Jessica’s commitment to creating a home care agency that prioritizes the individual needs and preferences of each client.

As an owner of Home Helpers Home Care of Belmont, Jessica is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support services that empower clients to live fulfilling and independent lives. Through innovative approaches and a steadfast dedication to quality, Jessica and her team strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve, one individual at a time.

Meet Mike and Cindy Fortner, owners of Home Helpers Home Care of Belmont, who bring a unique blend of expertise and dedication to the field of home care. As Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Mike and Cindy have spent years providing critical care in healthcare settings, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Despite living out of the area, their passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others led them to establish Home Helpers Home Care of Belmont, alongside their daughter Jessica.

Courtney brings with her 18 years of experience in special education, a career that helped shape her deep commitment to patience, compassion, and meaningful relationships. Throughout her career, she supported students and families through both challenges and successes, making a lasting impact on the lives of those she served.

Those same values are what drew her to Home Helpers. Courtney believes strongly in helping others, building connections, and being part of something bigger than herself. Her heart for service, attention to detail, and passion for people make her a wonderful addition to our team.

When she’s not working, Courtney is a proud mom to her two children, Emma Claire and Fitz. She also enjoys gardening and appreciates the simple joys that come from nurturing things and watching them grow—qualities that translate beautifully into the relationships she builds both personally and professionally.

Meet Emmy, our Service Supervisor! Originally from Arkansas, Emmy brings a huge heart, a servant’s spirit, and a genuine passion for caring for others to everything she does. As a hospice nurse, she has dedicated her career to supporting patients and families through some of life’s most meaningful and vulnerable moments. Her compassion, clinical experience, and ability to make people feel truly cared for make her an invaluable part of the Home Helpers family.

Around the office, we like to think of Emmy as our in-house Dolly Parton—a little bit Southern, a whole lot of heart, and always ready to bring some warmth and personality wherever she goes. 

As Service Supervisor, Emmy helps ensure our clients receive exceptional care while serving as a trusted resource and advocate for our caregivers. For Emmy, nursing is more than a profession—it’s an opportunity to serve others, build relationships, and make a difference in the lives of the people around her.
